A Gorgeous Estate Wedding in thr Florida Keys

You can always bet on A Florida Keys wedding to be absolutely beautiful. Stef and Micah were married at a STUNNING private residence owned by a family friend. Stef and Micah had vacationed on the property in the past, and knew it would create a magical background for their special day.

When discussing the decor and style of the wedding with Stef, she knew she wanted to take advantage of how beautiful the property was. She chose to stick with neutral colors and minimal decor. Since they had a small, intimate wedding with only close family and friends, they used simple, wooden benches placed by the water for their ceremony. Stef and Micah stood in front of their friends and family as they said their vows, with gorgeous water views stretching behind them. For dinner, Stef chose to combine farm tables into one, long dinner table. As the sun set, the party was illuminated by the string lights above, and a plethora of candles running down the table. The candles created a warm glow, adding to the intimate setting.

The couple also put a lot of thought into choosing their vendors. Knowing that they would have the perfect view of the sunset from their property, they sought out Stacia Morgan, since she has experience capturing perfect sunset portraits. The couple chose Chef Wes, a private chef their family and friends had worked with before, for their catering. By choosing a private chef, they had the opportunity to truly customize their menu to fit their budget, dietary needs, and preferences. Finally, the entire night was set to the soundtrack of relaxing rhythms of Reggae Force. The entire team came together to create a very personalized and fun night for all of the guests.

While choosing to hold your wedding at a private residence can add a lot of personality and sentiment to the evening, it comes with its own set of challenges as well. A few months before the wedding, Stef and Micah decided they needed some additional help finalizing the details and hired Whitehead + Co. We worked with them to create a schedule combining all of the night’s events within the hours they had their other vendors. We also took over as the main point of contact with their vendors for the last few months, confirming details and timelines. On the day of, our Florida Keys wedding planner helped organize and set up the decor and help the day run smoothly.
